• The Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta is an essential destination for any food and wine enthusiast. Now in its 33rd year, this fiesta delivered an array of indulgent experiences, highlighting the finest culinary and wine offerings from Santa Fe, the American West, and beyond. Santa Fe distinguishes itself not only with its vibrant food and wine scene but also through its deep cultural ties to the land, with the iconic New Mexico chile taking center stage in the region’s unique gastronomic identity.

The humble New Mexico chile, a symbol of local history and tradition, was at the heart of many events throughout the fiesta. Chefs, winemakers, and mixologists highlighted this ingredient, presenting modern and traditional ways to celebrate its flavors. Santa Fe continues to garner accolades from Wine Spectator Magazine and the James Beard Foundation, putting this small but mighty city on the map for excellence in both cuisine and wine.

One of the highlights of the fiesta was the “New Wave Wines of Spain” seminar with New York Times’ Chief Wine Critic, Eric Asimov. Spain is leading a wine renaissance, with young, passionate winemakers rediscovering forgotten vineyards and bringing new life to ancient traditions. Asimov guided guests through eight of the best new-wave Spanish wines, offering an exciting glimpse into the future of Spanish wine.

  • The “American Truffle Revolution” seminar was another standout, blending the exquisite flavors of Burgundy truffles with the bold, structured wines of Rombauer Vineyards. The seminar was led by Robert Chang, Chief Truffle Officer, American Truffle Company, and Bob Knebel, CEO of Rombauer. Guests indulged in Chef Martín Rios’ masterful truffle dishes, each paired with select wines from Rombauer. The seminar shed light on the science of truffle cultivation in the U.S., adding a layer of intrigue to this gastronomic experience.

Chile Friday, held at Magers Field in Fort Marcy Park, was a vibrant celebration of New Mexico’s iconic chile. More than 25 esteemed Santa Fe restaurants offered their own interpretations of dishes incorporating chile, and visitors had the chance to sip margaritas from top tequila brands like Don Julio and Patrón, or sample local craft beers and wines. With live music, chile roasting, artisan demos, and a laid-back, creative atmosphere, Chile Friday truly captured the spirit of Santa Fe!

On Saturday, The Grand Tasting was a dazzling event where guests sampled over 100 wines from around the world and dishes from more than 55 of Santa Fe’s top restaurants. The air was filled with the mouth watering aromas of grilled meats and roasted chile, while guests danced to live music by David Manzanares.

Closing the festivities, the Champagne and Dirty Boots Brunch at the Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado was an elegant affair, where guests sipped Veuve Clicquot and savored the creations of Chef Andrew Fox. Held in the stunning Aspen Ballroom and Terrace, this chic brunch was the perfect finale to the week’s indulgence.

With over 70 restaurants and 80 wineries participating, the 33rd annual Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta welcomed more than 4,000 enthusiastic guests. The event was a testament to Santa Fe’s culinary excellence, offering an unforgettable celebration of food, wine, and the vibrant culture of New Mexico.
